Prithviraj Gets An Idea Of Telugu Audience Taste With 'Goat Life'!

Malayalam star hero Prithviraj Sukumaran's 'The Goat Life: Adujeevitham' is getting a lot of praise from the audience. Many are predicting that he would be getting a National Award at all costs. Not just in Kerala but the Malayalis overseas are also loving this movie. People are predicting that it would gross around 100 crores. But the movie is not getting good collections in the Telugu market. Though 'Tillu Square' dominated the entire weekend, there are a lot more factors that led to the lack of collections for 'Goat Life' in Telugu.

We have seen the Telugu audience encouraging films from various genres which arrived at the same time. Despite Prithviraj coming to Hyderabad and promoting this film, it hasn't reached the audience. The reasons are the excessive runtime. It is an emotional drama that lasts for three hours. The Telugu audience are not used to it.

Most of the film viewers want to forget their stress by watching movies in theatres but 'Goat Life' is all about a man's tragic journey in Gulf. Though the performances impress you big time, the Telugu audience cannot connect with the drama on an emotional front. Also, the songs are not suitable for multiple listening. It is predictable that the film would get a massive response from Kerala people. They are used to slow dramas.

Recently, 'Bramayugam' became a blockbuster in Kerala but failed in the Telugu states. On the other hand, 'Premalu' got a wonderful response due to relatable characters and entertainment. Malayali heroes need to learn the behaviour of Telugu audiences. Fun films, family dramas, love stories and action flicks get more response compared to other genres. Looks like Varadha Raja Mannar aka Prithviraj got an idea of it now.
