Heroine bringing money problems to Rajamouli

Rajamouli is the biggest commercial film maker in Indian cinema, and he naturally gets massive budgets from his producers for the production of his films.

But, Priyanka Chopra’s association with Rajamouli’s upcoming film starring Mahesh Babu has reportedly pushed the project’s budget higher than expected. Industry sources suggest that the global star’s participation comes with a hefty remuneration running into several crores, apart from additional expenses for her travel, stay, and personal arrangements.

Each of her trips to Hyderabad is said to cost a substantial amount, including first-class flights from the US, luxury accommodation, a dedicated team of stylists, vehicles, and security.

These frequent expenses are said to be “bleeding” the film’s production budget, although her inclusion adds strong global appeal. Producers, however, seem confident that Priyanka’s international recognition will help the film reach a wider audience and justify the investment through theatrical revenue, OTT deals, and brand tie-ups.

While such high costs are not unusual for large-scale Rajamouli projects, insiders note that managing the logistics for a global celebrity adds considerable financial pressure. The makers are focusing on maximizing the film’s global potential, turning it into one of India’s most ambitious ventures.

Despite the rising expenses, the team believes that Priyanka’s star power will significantly enhance the movie’s visibility and international market value.
