Slumdog is based on two very real incidents - Puri Jagannath

Vijay Sethupathi, Samyuktha, Tabu, Duniya Vijay are starring in Puri Jagannath's Slumdog 33 Temple Road. JB Narayana Rao is producing the film with Puri Connects. The movie teaser has been released today and team conducted a press event in Chennai.

At the event, Vijay Sethupathi stated that he believes in great stories and called Puri Jagannath, "a great storyteller." He said, "Puri Jagannath has created history for himself in Indian Cinema and I am very happy to have worked with him. Slumdog is a very action heavy intense emotional film. I believe it will work Pan-India in a big way."

Puri Jagannath said, "I respect Vijay Sethupathi alot as an actor and I have glad we worked together for this film. Slumdog is based on two real incidents and it talks about people who have nowhere to go. The intensity that VJS can convey in his eyes and his performance is outstanding."

He further stated that for this film he worked with great actors and in some scenes he cried himself. Puri Jagannath futher thanked everyone and he told that Slumdog will be a very good film. He said, "I think Gen-Z is more emotional than millenials and I want every Gen-Z youth to watch the film as it is an intense emotional drama."
