The upcoming Telugu movie Purushaha is getting ready for a grand release on May 22. The film is produced by Battula Koteswara Rao under the banner of Kalyan Productions and presented by Battula Saraswathi. The movie introduces Pavan Kalyan Battula as the lead actor. Directed by Veeru Vulavala, the film also stars Saptagiri, Kasireddy Raj Kumar, Rayancha Kokkura, Vishika, Hasini Sudheer, VTV Ganesh, and Vennela Kishore in important roles.

During a recent media interaction, producer Battula Koteswara Rao shared many interesting details about the film and his personal journey into cinema.

When asked about his background, he said, “I am from Karampudi in Guntur district. I never had any connection with the film industry before. But after entering this field, everyone supported me very well. This journey gave me a very positive feeling.”

Speaking about naming his son after actor Pawan Kalyan, he said, “After watching Gokulamlo Seetha, I became a big fan of Pawan Kalyan garu. I strongly felt he would become a huge star one day. During the time of Thammudu, my son was born, and I happily named him Pavan Kalyan.”

The producer also explained how his dream of cinema became connected with his son’s future. “My son was very shy from childhood. Becoming a hero was my dream, and I wanted to see that dream through him. I also believed cinema would help him become more confident,” he said.

Talking about the director Veeru Vulavala, Battula Koteswara Rao revealed that another project was planned earlier but did not happen. “Later, Satish Muthyala garu introduced us to Veeru garu. He narrated the story of Purushaha, and I liked it immediately. We even changed our construction office into a film office for this project,” he shared.

The producer said the movie’s story and narration impressed him the most. “I especially liked the love story in the film. Purushaha is made for all kinds of audiences. I never wanted to make a massive film just for show. I only wanted my son to overcome his hesitation and fear,” he explained.

He also clearly said that the film was not made for profits. “I did not enter films expecting money. I only wanted to support my son’s dream,” he added.

Talking about the cast, he praised every actor in the movie. “VTV Ganesh garu will make audiences laugh a lot. Vennela Kishore garu’s character brings an important twist to the story. Saptagiri performed wonderfully. Kasireddy Raj Kumar also acted very well,” he said.

About the heroines, he mentioned, “Both heroines looked beautiful and also performed naturally on screen.” He also said that writer Ananth Sriram has a special role in the film.

When asked about his son’s performance, he replied, “I don’t want to say anything myself. Audiences will decide after watching the movie.”

The producer also spoke proudly about the music. “Shravan gave us very good songs and background score. We are very lucky that Keeravani garu sang a song for our film. The songs already received a positive response,” he said.

Purushaha is planned for release in nearly 300 theatres. The team is also arranging special premieres in both Telugu states from May 21. “Our film is made for audiences to sit back, relax, and enjoy every moment in theatres,” he said.

Finally, talking about future plans, Battula Koteswara Rao shared an emotional promise he made to his son. “I promised him that I would produce three films for him. If he becomes successful as a hero, I will be happy. If not, we will return to our village and continue farming. But I will definitely support him with three films,” he concluded.
