Pushpa 2 Music Credits Becomes A Hot Mess
On one hand, we have Devi Sri Prasad, the original music composer of the film and then there is Sam CS.
By: Tupaki Desk | 6 Dec 2024 4:31 AM GMTAfter a long, wait that lasted nearly 3 years, finally, Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s Pushpa 2 hit the big screens worldwide on 5 December. The film is opening on a stellar note at the box office with exceptional advance booking trends leading into the release.
However, the film is now in bad news, and this is due to the credits issue that is happening around the audio and original soundtrack of the film.
On one hand, we have Devi Sri Prasad, the original music composer of the film and then there is Sam CS. While Devi Sri Prasad claims that he has scored music for almost each and every frame in the film, along with the audio album, we have Sam CS on the other side who is making statements of his own.
DSP has commented that he makes quality music and doesn’t have the habit of copy pasting stuff, just for the sake of it. He openly stated that the majority of his works get accepted right at the first sitting, and there is no further apprehension about the same.
On the other hand, Sam CS is claiming that 90% of the film has his background score, including the talked, climax portion. He is evidently taking his claim as the principal music composer for Pushpa.
Given Devi Sri Prasad’s nature, these comments from Sam CS should greatly agitate him and good potentially trigger a fierce and appropriate reaction. Once that happens, the credit claiming saga around the Allu Arjun film will hit a new peak.
This is all a result of the makers on boarding, Sam CS, SS Thaman and Ajaneesh Loknath to compose the soundtrack for the film. While DSP is agitated about bringing in other music composer for his product. Others are evidently taking their claim at the cherry.
For now, the attention is almost entirely on Devi Sri Prasad as he is the principal music composer for the film, and is the most established face amongst the mentioned ones. But what shall be noted here is that DSP hadn’t experienced something like this ever in his career.
But in the end, it is good that Pushpa II is benefited from whoever composed the background score and original soundtrack for the film. The response for the BGM has been largely positive, thus far, and this is all that essentially matters as far as the film is concerned.
