Raashi Khanna has always been that rare actress who doesn’t trash the place she came from.

These days, you hear a lot of heroines saying Telugu cinema exploited them or treated them unfairly after they moved to Bollywood. But Raashi? Never. She still talks about Tollywood with the same warmth she had on day one, almost like she owes a little piece of herself to it.
Right now, she’s busy promoting 120 Bahadur in Bollywood. Farhan Akhtar stars in it, Excel produces it, and Raashi is everywhere doing interviews with her usual calm smile. Somewhere in that conversation flow, she dropped a few honest thoughts about her journey, and they felt refreshing, very unfiltered in a nice way.
She said, “Madras Café made people notice me as an actor, but after that, I was put in all these commercial films.” Then she talked about Tholi Prema, the film that quietly flipped things around for her. “Tholi Prema changed things, making people see me as an actor and not just a commercial face.” You could almost sense she’s still grateful for that shift.
Up next, she’s teaming with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. And she admitted she signed the movie without even reading the script, simply out of the respect she has for the Deputy CM. Fans loved that. Honestly, moments like these show why Raashi stays so rooted. She just remembers who backed her when it mattered.
