Known for his soulful compositions in Andala Rakshasi and recent hit Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, Radhan’s name got dragged back into conversation over his fallout with Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. After years of silence, the composer has finally addressed the issue that’s been making rounds once again.
In a heartfelt clarification, Radhan said, “Sandeep Reddy Vanga is like a father to me. And when your father scolds you, you don’t take it to heart.” He admitted that Sandeep’s criticism came only after all the songs were done, which confused him. “If he didn’t like my music, he could’ve told me after the first song. But he waited till the end,” Radhan noted. However, he chose not to dwell on it emotionally, adding, “His tone may be harsh, but not just with me that's how he speaks in general. I don’t hold anything against him.”
Radhan went on to express that his only focus is delivering good music, regardless of the filmmaker’s personality. “Working with Anudeep, for example, was completely different very calm and soft-spoken. But I don’t expect every director to be the same. My responsibility is to the film, and I always give my best.” Despite the past tension, Radhan called Arjun Reddy a proud project and praised Sandeep Vanga as a brilliant director.
Interestingly, Sandeep Vanga too didn’t hold back in a recent interview, stating that Radhan was difficult to work with and that he had to show a lot of patience during the making of Arjun Reddy. Regardless, the film became a cult hit, grossing nearly ₹50 crores on a ₹5 crore budget and later being remade as Kabir Singh and Adithya Varma. Radhan, who was last seen promoting Bhaje Vaayu Vegam, seems to have put the past behind him and is focused on the future with nothing but music in his heart.
