Why Heroines Are Speaking More Openly About S*x Today
One major reason is the changing audience. Younger viewers are more willing to discuss topics that were once treated as taboo.

Actresses often avoided questions about relationships, s*xuality and physical desires because of social pressure. But things are changing now. Many actresses are speaking more openly about these subjects in interviews and public events.
A recent example is actress Radhika Apte. During the promotions of Lust Stories 3, she spoke openly about s*xuality, ageing, motherhood and women understanding their own bodies. She said that she has a better understanding of her body, thoughts and physical needs in her 40s compared with her younger years.
Her comments have started a wider discussion about why women should feel comfortable talking about s*xuality. Radhika also spoke about the importance of giving children proper understanding about their bodies instead of making them feel shame or fear about natural questions.
This change is not limited to one actress. Several actresses from Bollywood and the South Indian film industries have become more comfortable discussing relationships, body image, intimacy and s*xual awareness. Social media has also made such conversations more visible.
One major reason is the changing audience. Younger viewers are more willing to discuss topics that were once treated as taboo. OTT platforms have also created space for stories about relationships, s*xuality and adult life. As a result, actors and filmmakers can discuss these subjects more directly.
Another reason is that actresses today are increasingly speaking about personal freedom and equality. They want women to be seen as people with their own thoughts, choices and emotions rather than only as glamorous characters on screen.
However, speaking openly about s*x does not mean that every actress has the same views or experiences. Each person has different boundaries and opinions. The larger change is that conversations about sexuality are becoming more open.
Radhika Apte's comments show this changing attitude clearly. Her discussion has once again brought attention to women's s*xual awareness and the need for healthy conversations about relationships and the human body.
For many people, the subject may still feel uncomfortable. But the growing number of such discussions shows that Indian popular culture is slowly becoming more open to conversations that were once kept behind closed doors.
