Radhika Collects ₹50 Crores And Takes Class To Stars

One of the senior heroines who is still actively doing acting jobs is none other than Radhika Sarathkumar. Recently, she has acted in the film Thaai Kizhavi, where she appeared as an 80-year-old, while her real age is 63, and she impressed everyone big time. Also, the film made huge revenue at the box office, collecting ₹50 crores gross from Tamil Nadu alone after it was released on February 27th.

The other day, while celebrating the film’s amazing success at the box office, Radhika had, however, made some unwanted comparisons out of excitement, and that’s now worrying many film lovers. Radhika stated her film has collected really good revenue with just a ₹150 ticket price, and that’s true. “While this film could collect this much revenue with just a ₹150 ticket, films of some stars are not even collecting this much money from the box office, even with a ₹1500 ticket price, and that’s the real success for us,” said Radhika.

This has triggered a sort of discussion on social media as to why Radhika is poking into the business of other stars rather than enjoying her own film’s success. Because when it comes to star heroes, they keep on delivering films for the box office and keep the trade running. But for Radhika, this is the only solo film for her that ran for almost two decades, while for heroes who are not collecting well with a ₹1500 ticket price will come up with movies almost twice in 2-3 years.

Well, Radhika's class to stars is debatable, when it comes to ticket prices, because that's burning the pockets of the middle-class audience. However, these high-priced tickets are for just a couple of days for any movie, so a direct jibe that star heroes are unable to make huge profits with big ticket prices will be wrong.
