By: Shanaz B Syed | 14 March 2026 3:35 PM ISTRahi Anil Barve, the director of the acclaimed 2018 horror movie Tumbbad, and other movies, is also coming up with the psychological thriller Mayasabha, the hall of illusion, has now come up with the ‘zero-budget’ AI-assisted movie titled “Mann Pishach”. Guess what, the trailer officially claims that they have made this project with a budget of ₹33,000 only, on a home computer.
The visuals and the sound design, assisted by AI, of “Mann Pishach” look stunning, as the filmmaker used most of the ‘prompts’ to bring out some otherwise impossible visual effects very easily. Featuring Deepak Damle and Yaneena Bharadwaj’s AI-generated avatars, and used their acting prowess to be replicated digitally. The story deals with that of an Archaeology officer, Sadashiv Rao, and his adventures of Hadamgaon village, where he stays at widow Savitri’s house. There, he tries to find if something as big as Ellora's structure is located underneath the mountains.
The film happens to be a psychological horror folk thriller, and the director says that if at least one filmmaker, who happens to be a frustrated artist, gets inspired by his movie, that would be a big win for him. This is what director Ram Gopal Varma said recently, and if these types of films could impress the audience inside theatres, then that will be a sure shot shocker to the film industry itself.
