Is a popular saying in the film industry, which says actors and actresses will never have a problem with the industry when they have opportunities and chances. But immediately after the offers dry up, they tend to over react on issues.

That note, we have the case of talented Telugu actor Rahul Ramakrishna, who has vented out his frustration at the Telugu film industry as a whole.

Rahul pointed out that “If your film cannot overpower the brutal summer heat, traffic, parking and petrol prices, inflated snacks, taxes, and the sheer exhaustion of modern life — don’t ask audiences to leave their homes for it. Empty movie halls are an honest verdict on how bad we have become at work.”

Rahul then spoke about the craft of filmmaking as he had a strong opinion on the same as he commented, please, for your own sake, let go of the arrogant belief that the audiences are too stupid to recognise bad filmmaking. Almost everyone is camera savvy and adept at filmmaking techniques now thanks to digitalisation. We still consider our “craft” as some mystical art form.

He had a strong comment on the fact that the Telugu film industry left an entire season blatantly vacant as he referred to the vacuum during the summer season.

Tweeting this after having watched an ENTIRE SEASON of films go kaput at the theatres. That’s it, that’s the only context. Add to it the general dissatisfaction of having to work with redundant material, outdated practices and inflated egos- that’s the reason for my twitter rants, he commented in this thread.

It is evident that Rahul has strong opinions on the current method of operations of the Telugu film industry, but what is the trigger point for all the frustration to bust out at this point in time?
