Samantha Ruth Prabhu's well-intentioned advice on social media has ignited a firestorm of criticism across India. Like a pebble tossed into a still pond, her suggestion to treat viral infections with a nebulizer filled with hydrogen peroxide and distilled water has sent ripples of disapproval through the nation.

The actress's recommendation, devoid of medical backing, sparked widespread condemnation. Samantha, in an attempt to clarify her stance, only fanned the flames of criticism. Few rallied behind her, but her close friend, Rahul Ravindran, stepped forward in her defense.

This act of loyalty, however, backfired. Rahul, whose wife Chinmayi frequently dubs for Samantha, shares a strong bond with the actress. He even had plans for a film starring Samantha that never came to fruition. Now, his support has painted him with the same negative brush.

Rahul passionately defends Samantha, stating, "She may not be a medical expert, but she diligently researches treatments before trying them. A qualified doctor, trained in medicine, recommended this therapy, and she reinforced her knowledge with research from other qualified professionals. Like many of us, she's grappling with conflicting information. Wouldn't it be more productive to engage in a civil discussion with a doctor rather than attacking her?" These comments, however, drew accusations of bias due to his personal connection to Samantha. Rahul, nevertheless, remains steadfast in his support.

Meanwhile, Samantha's fans eagerly await the trailer release of her upcoming web series "Citadel - Honey Bunny" and her movie "Bangarraju." However, the controversy surrounding her health advice continues to cast a shadow on these projects.
