Superstar Prabhas’ latest film, The Raja Saab, which is hitting cinemas on January 9th, got a major boost from the Andhra Pradesh government. The government has approved the special ticket prices as well as other shows, creating a strong buzz in trade circles and among fans. Here are the deets.

According to the GO released by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Raja Saab’s premiere shows in the state have been allowed a premium price of ₹1000 per ticket. This move underlines the film’s box office potential and is likely to contribute heavily to impressive first-day and opening-weekend collections.

At the same time, the ticket prices have been fixed at ₹297.5 in single screens and ₹377 in multiplexes for the first 10 days of the movie’s run. It indicates that throughout the Pongal holidays, the film’s ticket prices will be hiked up. Later on, the prices will be ₹177 in multiplexes and ₹147.5 in single screens. That might ensure steady footfalls even after the working days resume.

With this clear and structured pricing approval from the AP government, all eyes now turn to the Telangana government, as the Telangana High Court already gave a verdict, asking the government to look into the ticket prices matter.
