Will Telangana Govt Give Signal To Raja Saab?
Though Vishwa Prasad raised hopes amongst fans and trade circles with the premiere show announcement, getting official permission from the Telangana Government is actually crucial for it to happen.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 18 Dec 2025 11:25 AM IST“Raja Saab” producer TG Vishwa Prasad has other day announced that the festival of this Prabhas starrer will kickstart with early premieres on January 8th itself. While the news has been doing the rounds for a long time, many are wondering if the Telangana Government will give a green signal to their plans or not.
In recent times, many big-ticket entertainers like Pawan Kalyan’s #OG have got the nod for premieres from both the Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, with some advocates knocking on the doors of the High Court during that time, the Telangana Government was barred by the Court from allowing producers to sell tickets at hefty prices in the name of premieres.
Owing to that, recently the premiere shows and hiked ticket prices of Akhanda 2 faced severe obstacles from the legal authorities. Though Vishwa Prasad raised hopes amongst fans and trade circles with the premiere show announcement, getting official permission from the Telangana Government is actually crucial for it to happen.
With Telangana cinematography minister Komatireddy earlier clarifying that bureaucrats are giving permissions unknowingly, but their government is not inclined to such things, the premieres of Raja Saab in Hyderabad and around are still unclear. If permission is given, that will significantly boost the film’s revenues, however.
Bankrolled by TG’s People Media Factory, Raja Saab is helmed by Maruthi and features the likes of Nidhie Aggerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar as the leading ladies. SS Thaman composed music.
