Did Rajamouli Really Ruin Tollywood?
Rajamouli undeniably created a new wave in Tollywood with regard to pan Indian films and large budgeted project.

The kind of history that has been created through Baahubali and RRR have built such a strong legacy for Rajamouli that no other Director can even comprehend something like this now.
But nevertheless, there is a detrimental discussion about Rajamouli, and this is mainly due to the kind of elongated timelines that he executes for his projects. Incidentally, there is this one new debate on social media about the timelines of Rajamouli.
A few people are commenting that Rajamouli has ruined Tollywood by making a large scale films with superstars that take three or more years to execute. They are setting the example of distributors and exhibitors, struggling with lack of superstar films to drive adequate revenues to theatres.
But the fact here is, the Rajamouli is the one who skilled up the quality and presentation scale of Tollywood. If we are able to see films, like Pushpa, KGF, RRR, Devara and others, it’s due to the magnanimity of Baahubali.
Rajamouli undeniably created a new wave in Tollywood with regard to pan Indian films and large budgeted project. This might take superstars, nearly 2 or three years to materialise a project.
But at the end of the day, the kind of revenues that are generated through these films and the kind of market capitalisation that is generated through the same is beyond ordinary. So the discussion on whether Rajamouli had actually ruined the working mechanism of Tollywood is a largely subjective matter, and it depends on the perception of individual to individual.
