Rajamouli To Showcase Mahesh Babu As Lord Rama

For a while, now, there has been a discussion about the prospect of witnessing Mahesh Babu as Sri Krishna. But for a change, Rajamouli has envisioned, Mahesh Babu has Lord Sriram and he confirmed the same at the Varanasi event that was held earlier today.

On the occasion, Rajamouli confirmed that he is going to showcase Mahesh Babu as Lord Rama and this became one of the most surprising and memorable experiences of the project.

On the very first day of the photo shoot, he appeared in the Rama look, and the impact was immediate. I had always imagined that Mahesh would be more suitable for the role of Krishna because of his natural charm and energy. However, the moment he stepped into the frame as Rama, he completely changed my perspective. His calm expression, dignified posture, and the purity he brought to the character were extraordinary, Rajamouli said.

I was so impressed that I saved his look as my phone wallpaper, though I later removed it because I did not want others to catch a glimpse of it before the official reveal, he further added.

The Rama episode itself was a massive part of the film. We shot it over sixty days, creating many sub episodes that explore different emotions and moments from the story. Each day on set felt special because of the devotion and detail put into every frame.

For me, this entire segment will always stand out as one of the most beautiful and unforgettable sequences I have ever created. I believe it will also remain a milestone in Mahesh Babu’s film journey, Rajamouli was evidently super happy with the kind of presentation that he could design for Mahesh, and this was clearly visible in the way he spoke.
