Veteran Telugu actor Rajashekhar shared that he doesn’t like staying idle and feels like being in jail when he has no work. Speaking at the launch event of the glimpse of his upcoming film Biker, Rajashekhar expressed his excitement about being part of the project. He humorously said, “If the director had shown me this glimpse earlier, I would have asked for the hero’s role itself. But he showed it only after everything was done.”

Recalling an old memory, Rajashekhar said, “Once, during a foreign film shoot, our photographer didn’t come, so we hired a local one. While taking pictures, he asked how long I had been in the industry and what my next plans were. I told him about a few upcoming projects. He said, ‘You’re very lucky.’ When I asked why, he said, ‘Because you have a lot of work.’ I didn’t take it seriously then, but later I understood what he meant. Without work, I feel trapped, just like being in jail.”

He added that during the COVID-19 pandemic, he suffered health issues and couldn’t move properly for some time. “Even though I recovered in a few months, I realized that work gives me energy. I have done around 100 films as a hero. Now, I have decided to do any good role that excites me. Many directors narrated stories, but I didn’t like most of them. Just when I was feeling low, director Abhilash came with Biker. I really liked the story, and every day on the sets gave me great satisfaction,” he said.

Rajashekhar also revealed that he has been suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) for a long time. “When Abhilash asked me to give a speech, I hesitated because of my health condition. I was worried I might say something odd, but still came to share my thoughts,” he said with a smile.

Actor Sharwanand, who plays the lead in Biker said it is India’s first motor racing movie. Directed by Abhilash Reddy, the film also stars Malavika Nair as the female lead and is set to release on December 6.
