It’s funny how life throws surprises when you least expect them. Rajeev Kanakala, the man we’ve seen play serious cops, emotional brothers, and scary villains, just dropped his first-ever rap song. Yep, rap. The same guy who usually brings quiet intensity to the screen suddenly walked into a recording studio and started spitting rhymes like he’s been doing it for years. Nobody saw this coming, and that’s what makes it so cool.

The song’s called Love OTP. Sounds romantic, right? But hold on, it actually stands for Over-Torture-Pressure. Classic twist. It’s not one of those lovey-dovey numbers; it’s a fun take on how messy love can get. There’s this one line that’s already stuck in everyone’s head, “Single gunte nuvvene boss, mingle aite life mottam loss.” It’s cheeky, true, and delivered with that casual swag only Rajeev can pull off. You can tell he’s not chasing perfection here, he’s just having fun, and that vibe makes the whole thing work.

He even admitted he was a little jittery before recording. Said he was literally shivering. But the moment the music kicked in, that hesitation disappeared. Watching him rap in the booth and later pop up in a police uniform for the video, you get this mix of amusement and admiration. The credit also goes to director Anish and the crew for nudging him into something so unexpected.

And now, everyone’s talking. Rajeev Kanakala the actor, we knew him. But Rajeev Kanakala the rapper? That’s brand new territory. Maybe that’s what keeps him fresh after all these years, the guts to just try something different for the fun of it. Love OTP officially drops on November 14th, and honestly, this one’s going to be a fun surprise for everyone who thought they’d seen all sides of him.
