Shashtipoorthi Glimpse: Rajendra Prasad, Archana star as a couple after 38 years

Nata Kireeti Rajendra Prasad needs no introduction. His versatility has been proven time and again. His pairing with National Award winning actress Archana in Ladies Tailor (1986) is one of the most stand-out moments in his filmography. The duo is back, as a married couple, in a film titled Shashtipoorthi.

If the film's Glimpse is anything to go by, Rajendra Prasad and Archana have acted in a heart-tugging, coming-of-age family drama that has a wholesome premise and goes beyond. Rupeysh Choudhary, the film's producer, dons the role of the hero. He plays a lawyer.

Maestro Ilaiyaraaja has taken special care to uplift this emotional story filled with the right doses of sentiments. A film that tries to restore the place of time-tested family values needs the backing of a genius like him. A crucial song is penned by MM Keeravani. Chaitanya Prasad has penned a few other songs. SP Charan's rendition will be a highlight for a melody.

Also, starring Akanksha Singh (as the heroine), the film makes use of the talents of seasoned artists like Chakrapani Ananda and Achyut Kumar. Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Muralidhar Goud, and Jabardasth Ram, among others, have played different roles.

Written and directed by Pavan Prabha, the film is produced on Maa Aaie Productions. Ram and 'Padma Sri' Thota Tharani are the cinematographer and art director, respectively.
