At the audio launch of Coolie on August 2, 2025, superstar Rajinikanth once again showcased his mastery in oration. Held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, the event was filled with laughter and admiration for the cast and crew, especially director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Known for his witty humor, Rajinikanth entertained the audience with self-deprecating jokes while also sharing heartfelt anecdotes.

Rajinikanth playfully roasted Lokesh, recalling how he first approached him after watching Kaithi. "I called him after Kaithi and asked if he had any stories for me," he said, jokingly adding, "Did I ask you whose fan you are?" This lighthearted dig highlighted Rajinikanths ability to laugh at himself while appreciating the directors unique approach.

The actor went on to praise the team, calling Kanagaraj "the true hero of Coolie" and acknowledging the talents of cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, editor Philomin Raj, and stunt choreographers Anbariv. He even took jabs at interviews conducted by Nagarjuna and Aamir Khan, which had stirred excitement for Coolie. Rajinikanth humorously described how one of Lokeshs lengthy interviews kept him awake as it seemingly went on forever: "I sat, stood, paced around, and it was still going. I woke up after a nap and, guess what? It was still going on."

Displaying a genuine and humble side, Rajinikanth shared personal memories of his past, including the emotional moment when he realized his former college friend was the one who had humiliated him as a coolie. "That was the first time I broke down and cried," he confessed.

Rajinikanth also made light-hearted remarks about his co-stars, including Nagarjuna, Aamir Khan, and Shruti Haasan, whom he praised for their remarkable performances. Ending his speech on a philosophical note, he stressed the importance of peace and respect over fame and wealth, leaving a lasting message for his fans: "No matter how much money and fame you earn, nothing is more important than peace at home and respect in society."

Coolie is set to release in theaters on August 14, 2025.
