Rajinikanth Gives Green Signal To Fresh Script?

Superstar Rajinikanth seems to be in no mood to slow down. After bouncing back with the massive success of Jailer, the superstar is keeping his calendar packed. His next release, Coolie, is set for August 14th and already has high expectations riding on it. At the same time, he is shooting for Jailer 2, once again teaming up with director Nelson, aiming for a summer release next year.

The buzz now is about his next possible collaboration. Reports say Rajinikanth has given the green signal to actor-director Sasikumar. Known for delivering the hit Tourist Family, Sasikumar became a hot name in Tamil cinema and received several acting offers. However, he has chosen to return to direction, and this time, he has his eyes set on creating something big with the Superstar.

Sasikumar has reportedly worked on a fresh script keeping Rajinikanth in mind. He recently narrated the idea to the star, and Rajinikanth is said to have given his approval in principle. The full narration will happen after Sasikumar completes the script, and an official announcement is likely sometime next year.

Rajinikanth’s recent run is also a big win for Sun Pictures, the production house behind Jailer, Petta, and Annaatthe, all of which have made strong box office numbers. With Coolie already making noise and Jailer 2 in the works, adding a Sasikumar directorial to the list could make this streak even bigger. If all goes as planned, 2025 might just be another blockbuster year for the Superstar.
