Chennai has been experiencing heavy rainfall since Tuesday morning, leading to widespread waterlogging and flooding in low-lying areas. A red alert has been issued for the city, causing significant disruptions to daily life. Celebrities and common people alike are facing the challenges posed by the incessant rain and floods.

Rajinikanth's Poe's Garden residence, located in a low-lying area, has been particularly affected by the flooding. Videos and photos of the flooded premises have gone viral on social media. Although Rajinikanth and his family members were not seen in the footage, this is not the first time their home has been inundated during heavy rains in Chennai.

Recently, Rajinikanth was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai due to stomach pain. He has since been discharged and returned home. The superstar is expected to resume shooting for his upcoming film soon.

"Vettayan," Rajinikanth's latest film, was released on October 10 and received moderate collections at the box office. The film also performed well in Telugu, earning approximately Rs. 240 crores. Rajini's next project, "Coolie," directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to begin shooting soon. The film also features Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and others in key roles. In addition to "Coolie," Rajinikanth's lineup includes "Jailor 2."
