Jailer 2 Censor: Two Negatives for Rajinikanth’s Film

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is one of the most awaited films this year. The film has created good expectations among fans and movie lovers. Nelson is returning with Rajinikanth for the sequel and the makers are planning a grand theatrical release on October 15. But the latest censor update has also brought two points that may become negatives for the film.

Jailer 2 has now completed its censor formalities and the film has received a U/A certificate. Earlier makers reportedly wanted a U/A certificate but there were some delays during the censor process. After making the required changes then the film finally received the U/A certificate.

The first negative is the violence in the film. These days, many star hero films are becoming more violent. Because of this, several films are getting A certificates or U/A certificates with restrictions. While action is important for a film like Jailer 2, too much violence can keep some family audiences away from theatres.

The second point is the runtime. Jailer 2 is said to have a runtime of more than two and a half hours. A long runtime is always a challenge for any film. If the movie has slow scenes or unnecessary portions, the audience may feel the length more strongly.

Both these factors can be considered as small negatives before the release. However, they may not matter much if Jailer 2 turns out to be a strong entertainer. If Nelson has delivered good action, comedy and proper mass moments, the audience may not even think about the certificate or runtime after watching the film.

Rajinikanth’s screen presence is also a major advantage for the movie. The film has a big cast, with actors like SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and others playing important roles. Anirudh’s music is another major attraction.

So, the certificate and runtime may look like two negatives for Jailer 2 before the release. But the final result may completely depend on the content. If movie entertains audience then these two negitives can be dont care things, if not, then this two can become negitives for the film.
