Tamil Directors Moving Away, Will Telugu Directors Do It?

The Tamil film industry is bracing up for one of its most interesting collaborations in the form of the coming together of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. This project would mark the collaboration between Rajinikanth as an actor and Kamal as a producer.

In this context, something interesting is happening with regard to this project as no credible director is coming forward to direct the same.

Earlier it was calculated that Lokesh Kanagaraj would be directing this film in the first place, and this was followed by speculation about Nelson Dilip Kumar. And then it was officially announced that Sundar C would be directing this project. But in the end, even Sundar backed out.

Coming to the topic, now, the latest developments are suggesting that the makers of this film have collectively decided to avoid Tamil film makers and go with Telugu film makers.

It is being established that talented Telugu film makers like Vamsi Paidipally or Venky Atluri could potentially be directing this project now. The makers have not approached either of them, but considering the fact that these two talented film makers had already worked with Tamil heroes in the past, they are being seen as credible options.

For now, we have to patiently wait and see who would be the director that gets the chance to work with Rajinikanth and Kamal for this project. While Tamil filmmakers have been steadily backing out, we have to see if a Telugu film maker would pick up this project now.
