Rajni Safely Escapes While Lawrence Faces Criticism!

'Chandramukhi 2' was released yesterday and the film was disliked by not just the regular audience but the fans as well. They are bashing director P Vasu for making the original film once again but with a different cast. When the sequel was announced, people wished to see Rajnikanth in that role once again. But Lawrence came into the picture out of nowhere. Since he is a specialist in ghost movies, people showed a bit of interest in this movie. With big names like Kangana Ranaut and MM Keeravani coming onboard, the expectations grew and Lyca Productions producing it made the public even more excited.

After watching the film, people believe that Rajnikanth is lucky to escape this film and Lawrence became the victim of bad writing. It seems like Thalaiva decided to stay away from a film that has the same story as the first film which came out 18 years ago. That is why he rejected P Vasu's film and let Lawrence do it. On the whole, the purpose of trying to cash in on the 'Chandramukhi' brand seems to have failed badly.

While the openings are good in Tamil Nadu, the collections in the Telugu states are not that great. Since it is a holiday weekend, a few shows got booked beforehand but the discouraging talk will surely have a big effect on its run. The promotions of Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut seem to have not worked out at all and the back-to-back failures are not helping Lawrence's career either. Let us see how 'Chandramukhi 2' performs this weekend.
