Theatrical Done, Samantha Moved To OTT

There was once a time when Samantha was one of the most reputed actresses in the South Indian film industry. She was the frontline to feature alongside almost every star hero in Telugu and Tamil films a decade ago. But things changed drastically in the recent times as her career graph took a dip in South Indian cinema.

However, the actress is still very famous in the Bollywood Circle as she is getting the chance to work with several top Bollywood stars consecutively.

Her most recent work in the Hindi OTT space includes Citadel, which had Varun Dhawan in the lead role.

Cut to now, the latest reports are suggesting that Samantha is finalised for a significant role in yet another Hindi OTT show. This Netflix original show is reportedly titled Rakth Brahmand and it is directed by Rahu Anil Barve of Tumbadd fame. The good thing about this OTT show is that it is created and produced by the super popular Raj and DK.

Another interesting thing about this series is that it will have handsome Bollywood hero Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead role and it will be an intense action series. Samantha had already worked with Raj and DK on a handful of series till now, and she will have an idea of the action oriented approach that they will be taking. This job must be easy for her.

Working with a standard Bollywood hero, like Aditya Rai Kapoor can open multiple avenues for the days to follow as she appears to be trying to make a career for herself in the Bollywood industry now. She is pinning hopes on the OTT space as she appears to be nearly done with the theatrical space.
