Stunning actress Rakul Preet Singh has had a tough time dealing with injuries. Last year, she suffered a back injury while attempting to deadlift 80 kg without a safety belt, an incident that occurred around her birthday in October 2024. Now, the actress is facing another setback, as her husband, producer Jackky Bhagnani, has been injured in an unfortunate on-set accident.
The incident took place during the shooting of the upcoming Bollywood film Mere Husband Ki Biwi. Along with Jackky Bhagnani, actor Arjun Kapoor and director Mudassar Aziz were also caught in the mishap. According to Bollywood sources, the accident occurred on the 18th of this month, but the news surfaced a bit later, leaving fans concerned.
Reports suggest that the accident happened when the ceiling of the film set collapsed unexpectedly during the shoot. Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) President BN Tiwari addressed the situation, stating that no one was critically injured but emphasized that the safety standards at the shooting location were lacking. He confirmed that filming was halted temporarily to avoid further risks.
BN Tiwari further explained, "Thankfully, no one sustained serious injuries, but the ceiling collapse could have been disastrous. The lack of proper maintenance at the studio is a major concern, and we have already raised the issue with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. We have also alerted Film City authorities about the potential hazards of ageing buildings. This industry is running on sheer luck, and we must take immediate action to prevent such incidents in the future."
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor, who sustained minor injuries, was recently spotted visiting Saif Ali Khan at the hospital. Despite the incident, the team remains optimistic about the film's release. Mere Husband Ki Biwi is slated to hit theaters on February 21, 2025. Fans are eagerly awaiting updates on the recovery of Jackky Bhagnani, who tied the knot with Rakul Preet Singh last year in a grand ceremony.
