Situationship Goes Out Of Control - Rakul Hurt
In a casual conversation, Jackky said, “Rakul and I are married, but we are like in a situationship… of course we are exclusive, that’s why we are married.”

In a casual conversation, Jackky said, “Rakul and I are married, but we are like in a situationship… of course we are exclusive, that’s why we are married.” It was meant to be a light, playful comment, describing comfort in a modern relationship. But the word “situationship” took over everything else.
Suddenly, it looked like they were redefining marriage itself, as the word situationship was used with many dubbing that their marriage is ‘open marriage’ and blasting them. Rakul wasn’t amused by all of this and got hurt, and responded to the hate that was being targeted at her. She responded sharply, saying, “Funny… until it’s not. Context matters. Nuance matters. Conversations deserve better than being reduced to clickbait.”
In the same conversation, Jackky actually explained their equation clearly. “We are not 20 anymore… we have both seen ups and downs. Individually, I am a happy person. Together, we are happier.” Rakul added her side too. “It’s not about filling a void… I can go on a holiday alone if I want. There are more important things in life.”
Today, relationships are being simplified into buzzwords. Situationship. Toxic. Casual. It fits social media. But then, celebrities should make sure that they do not use those words casually, as otherwise the interpretation goes out of control.
