Rakul Preet Singh has somehow landed in a weird WhatsApp mess. And she isn’t the only one. In the last few months, actresses like Kantara’s Rukmini Vasanth and Aditi Rao Hydari have already dealt with random strangers pretending to be them online. Now it’s Rakul’s turn, and the whole thing is honestly a bit ridiculous.

Someone created a WhatsApp account using her picture, even added her movie names in the bio to look legit, and started messaging people like it was no big deal. The moment Rakul spotted this, she didn’t waste time. She threw up a warning on social media with screenshots and told everyone straight up, “Not my number, block it, don’t bother replying.” Simple, direct, done.

This sort of scam keeps popping up. Aditi earlier said someone used her photo to text photographers. Rukmini too had a fake number floating around, calling people and acting like her. All this just shows how messy online impersonation is getting. Experts keep repeating the same advice, don’t trust random numbers, and stick to official accounts.

Meanwhile, Rakul is actually having a good run at the movies. De De Pyaar De 2 is doing well in theatres. The film added another Rs 1.50 crore on Monday, pushing the total to around Rs 63.20 crore.
