Peddi’s Bhopal Event: Mind-Blowing Money Invested

One of the biggest pre-release events in recent times for a Telugu movie is being carved out by Ram Charan’s Peddi. The film’s musical night event, being hosted on May 23rd in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is likely to be the biggest musical gala. Like how they spoke about the Jana Nayagan pre-release event that took place in Singapore and other pre-release events of some big Tamil films in recent times, even this event is going to be bigger. Guess what, a mind-blowing amount of money is being invested.

Just for an event, they are spending around ₹2.5 crores for the event, a first of its kind. This is a huge amount being spent by the producers, because at that price, they could have easily shot another song for the movie, on Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, if they thought of doing so. If the same event happens in Hyderabad, only 20% of the event cost will be paid to the event organisers, while the rest of the money will be extracted through the sponsors by the event organising companies. Why this spending on the Peddi Bhopal event? Because it happens to be AR Rahman’s LIVE show, where his team will sing nearly 4 songs from the movie and enthral the northern crowds.

Yes, there is no denial that such marketing shows will bring lots of attention for the movie, and if we look at the almost ₹800 crores odd collection made by Pushpa 2 in the Northern Belt, or just the ₹200 crores collection made by Pushpa 1 from the Hindi hinterlands, it explains why “Peddi” makers are spending such an exuberating amount on a musical night. It will all turn up in their cash registers from June 4th.
