After Game Changer Setback, Ram Charan Targets Huge Business
Despite that setback, trade experts believe Peddi could become one of the biggest films of 2026.
By: Priya Chowdhary Nuthalapti | 9 March 2026 12:12 PM ISTThe upcoming film Peddi starring Ram Charan is already creating a strong buzz in the film industry even before its release. Interestingly, this hype is coming after the disappointing performance of Ram Charan’s previous film Game Changer. Despite that setback, trade experts believe Peddi could become one of the biggest films of 2026.
The film is scheduled to release on April 30, and its business deals are already gaining momentum. Two songs from the movie have turned into chartbusters, and the teaser has received a strong response from fans. Even though the trailer has not been released yet, the movie has already built a pan-India level buzz.
Because of this excitement, distributors and buyers are reportedly approaching the producers with huge offers. According to trade talk, the theatrical business of Peddi may reach around ₹300 crore. This is a massive number and shows the strong confidence the industry has in the film.
In the Telugu states, the Nizam region alone may fetch close to ₹65 crore, although the deal has not been finalized yet. Producers are reportedly in discussions with major distribution players like Mythri Movie Makers, Dil Raju, and Asian Suniel for the rights.
Other regional deals are also said to be impressive. The Karnataka rights are expected to be around ₹23 crore, while the overseas rights have already been locked for about ₹40 crore. Reports say agreements have already been signed for these territories.
For the Andhra Pradesh areas, the numbers are also quite high. The Ceded region may go up to ₹35 crore, and the Coastal Andhra rights may reach around ₹85 crore. Meanwhile, deals for the North Indian market have not started yet. However, there is strong demand for the Hindi version as well.
Trade experts believe Peddi could create magic similar to the success of big pan-India films like Pushpa. Because of that confidence, buyers are ready to offer premium prices.
Apart from theatrical business, the film is also expected to earn huge money through digital, OTT, satellite, and audio rights. With these deals, the producers may already be in a safe profit zone.
Director Buchi Babu Sana is reportedly planning to release the film’s trailer around Ram Charan’s birthday later this month. If the trailer creates the expected impact, the already strong business numbers of Peddi could increase even further.
