Three Big External Crises Around Ram Charan’s Peddi
The next big film that Tollywood witnesses after Ustaad Bhagat Singh’s raid at the box office is none other than Ram Charan’s Peddi
By: Shanaz B Syed | 25 March 2026 1:54 PM ISTThe next big film that Tollywood witnesses after Ustaad Bhagat Singh’s raid at the box office is none other than Ram Charan’s Peddi, which is being directed by Uppena fame director Buchi Babu Sana. However, the film has dramatically moved out of its March release date due to various reasons, but then, as it locked April 30th, various external factors are looming around it, which could actually upset the film’s performance at the box office. Here are the three big external crises around it.
1) Iran-Israel/USA War: The quick outcome of this war is that it’s leading to a petrol shortage and a surge in transportation costs. If the war continues like the Russia-Ukraine war for a longer period of time, surely it’s going to have an impact on cinemas, when it comes to affecting the affordability of the moviegoer to come to theatres.
2) Dhurandhar 2 & Other releases: While Dhurandhar 2 is already doing great at the box office and refuses to slow down for a month, it will dry out the pockets of film lovers. Like how February went dry after people spent heavily on buying tickets to Sankranthi films, a similar fund crunch might arise. If the likes of Band Melam, Dacoit, Biker, and Swayambhu work out, that would bring the same situation by April 30th. That’s likely to impact Ram Charan’s Peddi.
3) 2026 IPL Season: This year’s IPL just gets hotter with RCB and Rajasthan Royals acquired by new owners, who have spent more than 15K crores, and want to take the buzz to the next level with umpteen promotions. With the likes of Times of India owning RCB, surely films don’t get more space than T20 cricket for the next two months.
Amidst all these external crises, how far Peddi will survive from April 30th is the big question, and only the release will have the answer.
