Peddi Makes Many Things: Enemies Buying Regions

One big film is enough to change things in the industry, including the mood, equations, and economics, in a big way. Currently, the currency in the Telugu film industry is Ram Charan’s Peddi, and the business around it is going like hot cakes. But the most noticeable thing around the project is that many people who are at loggerheads in the industry are actually making calls to each other to grab the rights to these movies.

Guess what, those who are said to be literal enemies of Mythri Movie Makers, whose other friendly production house is carving out “Peddi” now, are now rooting for the film. Especially some big distributors (also exhibitors) who have stopped Mythri’s JetLee recently in Hyderabad multiplexes and other theatres across Telangana, are now running forward to buy Peddi for a couple of regions in Andhra Pradesh. That’s how business works. That’s how big films bring people together. Or simply put, at the end of the day, it’s money and monetary deals that speak louder than enmity.

Peddi’s rights are, however, a little overpriced in regions like Visakhapatnam, where the buyers are said to be asking for around ₹18 crores, while the producers are demanding around ₹22 crores for the same. However, despite all these odds, the film is currently being sold like anything as the release date June 4th is just a month away.
