While most fans were still catching their breath over Game Changer’s ₹100 crore OTT deal, Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi has quietly upped the game. With a rustic sports backdrop and an emotional village setting, Peddi is now making waves even before its theatrical release and not just for its content. The film’s OTT rights across all languages have been scooped up by Netflix for a whopping ₹105 crore, surpassing the digital sale of Game Changer.

Peddi, directed by Uppena fame Buchi Babu Sana, already created hype with its impactful first glimpse. The raw look of Ram Charan, combined with a theme rooted in local sport, brought a new texture to his filmography. Janhvi Kapoor stars opposite him, and the presence of actors like Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu further adds depth to the ensemble. This isn’t just a movie with star power it's one blending mass appeal with emotional intensity.

Behind the scenes, Peddi boasts a powerhouse technical crew. With AR Rahman onboard as the music composer, expectations are not just riding high they’re soaring. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, the film is slated for a grand release on March 27, 2026, across all major Indian languages. This Netflix deal puts Peddi in the ranks of the highest OTT-acquired films in South Indian cinema.

To put the numbers in perspective: Kalki 2898 AD sold its rights for ₹375 crore, followed by KGF 2 at ₹320 crore and RRR at ₹300 crore. While Peddi may not be chart-topping yet, it has certainly made its mark, overtaking Game Changer in the digital race. For Ram Charan, this sets a new benchmark and proves that even a grounded rural tale can spark massive pre-release business if it strikes the right chord.
