Dhurandhar Producer’s Big Boost For Peddi
Pan-India cinema isn’t just about scale or VFX of the film, but it is about strategy. Making a film is one battle.

Getting it seen across India is the real war. And, that’s exactly where Ram Charan’s Peddi is playing smart. When the project began, non-Telugu audiences barely noticed it. But the moment the viral “Chikiri Chikiri” song dropped, things flipped. Suddenly, there was huge buzz for the film. Then comes Jio Studios into play, giving the real push at the time of the release.
The makers of Peddi have locked a major advantage by aligning with a top distribution force like Jio Studios that already proved its strength with Dhurandhar 2. Their network, market grip, and screen control are now being redirected towards Peddi. While June 4 is the target, a Bollywood film starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, is the only competitor in Hindi arena up north. Already films like Raja Shivaji and other Hindi movies fizzled out, so literally Bollywood’s summer itinerary is empty, paving the way for Peddi big time. If it can enthral the masses, surely there’s no going back.
We hear that the same circuit that backed Dhurandhar 2 is ensuring Peddi doesn’t get sidelined. Screens that were secured earlier are being strategically held and repurposed. That’s a rare advantage for a Telugu film entering the Hindi market. While Peddi is not entering the North as an outsider, but entering as a contender, it needs to prove with content big time.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, while Shruti Haasan has done a major item number in the movie. Along with Ram Charan, all these added attractions are going to be a stunner in theatres, they say.
