One of the most discussed things at the moment in the Telugu industry, both by fans and trade circles, is why Mega hero Ram Charan’s Peddi is keeping everyone in confusion. Though there’s no official communication, it’s now coming out that the movie, which was already postponed from March 27th to April 30th, is once again heading for a major shit of release date.

Though producer SKN clarified that he has no clarity whether the film hits cinemas on June 26th, the talk spread that it got shit. In case if Peddi really moves out and locks a new date, would the film lose anything? Other than the fans expressing their disappointment for missing out on a date, whether it would cause any loss to the stakeholders is something worth discussing.

For big-star movies, postponement doesn’t matter as long as the content is good. Baahubali and Baahubali 2, RRR were postponed many times, but the final result is stunning. So what would “Peddi” lose if they postpone? The publicity brought by songs will be affected to some extent. The makers will lose that attention edge. Otherwise, Peddi will lose nothing from postponements, except that producers will lose a bit of their profits due to rising interest rates on the invested money.

But other movies that are positioning their release dates around this Ram Charan starrer will lose big. Altering dates for small-budget films and Tier-2 heroes will likely lead to more promotions or wasted promotional content and investment.
