RC 17 Rumoured Cast Details Surprises Fans

Ram Charan and Sukumar's upcoming film RC17 is one of the most awaited projects in Telugu cinema. After the blockbuster success of Rangasthalam, the combination has created huge expectations among fans. However the cast names reported so far have surprised many movie lovers.

Usually a Ram Charan film is expected to feature popular pan-India actors, especially when it is being made on a big budget. But the names currently doing the rounds for RC17 are mostly familiar to Telugu audiences rather than established pan-India stars.

For a few days, it is being circulated that Satvika Veeravalli is being considered for the female lead role in RC17. She is expected to make her Telugu debut with Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming film Aakasamlo Oka Tara.

If the reports about her casting in RC17 are true, it would be a major opportunity for the young actress. However, some fans feel that a big film featuring Ram Charan should have a well-known heroine. At the same time, Sukumar is known for selecting actors based on their suitability for the characters. Therefore, choosing a fresh face could also work in the film's favour.

Rishikanth's name is also being discussed for the antagonist's role in RC17. However Sukumar's films are known for powerful villains and strong characterisation. The director has previously created memorable negative characters in his movies. If Rishikanth gets a strong role, his performance could become one of the highlights of RC17.

RC17 is expected to have a strong emotional story with mother sentiment reportedly playing an important role. The film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, while Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music. The shooting is expected to begin next year, with a possible 2028 release.

At present, the reported casting may look like a risk from a pan-India business perspective. But definitely a director like Sukumar wouldn't have chosen the cast without clarity. Surely he would have chosen the cast members with utmost clarity itself.
