Ram Pothineni Sacrifice For Superstar
Ram Pothineni's directorial debut RAPO23 may miss its planned December 2026 release, as only 40% of the shooting is reportedly complete. His role in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Dharman is said to have affected the schedule. If RAPO23 is delayed, Ram could have two releases in 2027.
By: Priya Chowdhary Nuthalapti | 5 Nov 2026 9:56 PM ISTRam Pothineni is one of the popular heroes in Telugu cinema. This actor has once enjoyed a strong image as a lover boy and delivered several successful films. But now has been facing a tough time with a series of failures. He now needs a big hit to get back on the success track.
His recent film Andhra King Taluka received positive reviews from audiences and critics. But the movie failed to show strong performance at the box office. Its disappointing collections have now increased the pressure on his upcoming projects.
Meanwhile Ram Pothineni is currently working on RAPO23. The film is special because he is making his directorial debut as well with this project. The actor reportedly planned to release the movie in December 2026. But the latest reports suggest that only around 40 percent of the shooting has been completed.
With a major portion of the shoot still pending, the film may not arrive as planned. What's interesting is that Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film Dharman is reportedly one of the reasons behind the delay.
Ram Pothineni is playing an important role in this much awaited project. Reports suggest that Ram's involvement in Dharman has affected the shooting schedule of his own directorial film. So, if RAPO23 misses its planned December 2026 release then Ram Pothineni could have two films arriving in 2027. One is Rajinikanth's Dharman, which has already generated interest because of their combination. The other is RAPO23 which is expected to show Ram in a completely new role as a director. We have to wait and see, how these two projects are going to have effect on Ram career.
