Inspiration Allegations On Ramayana Reached A New Peak

Other day, the much-awaited first glimpse of Lord Rama from the upcoming film “Ramayana” came out, and surely the grand visuals have shaken up the whole of India. While some have felt that movies like Adipurush should learn from the makers of Ramayan about crafting such fantastic visuals, others felt that the makers of Ramayana should not have copied visuals from other movies. That’s a shocker!

Well, a video is right now doing the rounds on the internet about how Ramayana had its visuals inspired by various Hollywood projects. Especially the video shows how war scenes are inspired by Game of Thrones visuals, and other action blocks are reminiscent of some shots from ‘Avengers’, ‘Dune’, and other movies. Well, more than saying inspiration, it looks like a few-shot compositions, visual effects ideas and even the shot cutting are a direct lift from Hollywood frames. Many are mocking the makers of “Ramayana” for an epic tale from India is now a copied version of various Hollywood ideas.

On the other hand, some artists and visual composers are saying that some of the shots should be composed the same way, whether that’s a Hollywood movie or any other movie. So this kind of occurrence will be there, and that should be seen as art, but not something that’s copied. In the end, social media doesn’t know all this logic, but trolling.
