Ramayana Part 1: Ranbir Kapoor, Yash Film Gets Worldwide Release Date

The makers of Ramayana have announced the worldwide release date of the much-awaited epic film. Part 1 of the two-part movie will arrive in cinemas across the world on November 5, 2026. The announcement was made on the first day of Navratri along with a new ensemble poster featuring the main characters.

The makers have also confirmed that advance bookings will open on Dussehra. With this announcement, the team has revealed both the theatrical release date and the advance booking date. The film will be released worldwide across all premium cinema formats.

The new poster features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Rocking Star Yash as Ravana. The image presents the main characters of the epic story and offers a glimpse of the film's grand visual world.

The poster was released with the message, “Yeh Ram Ke Yug Ka Aarambh Hai.” The makers shared the announcement on social media to mark the beginning of Navratri. The release date and advance booking details were revealed through this special poster.

The film has attracted attention because of its popular cast and the scale of its production. The new poster has also increased interest among audiences who are waiting to see the epic story on the big screen.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Yash will play Ravana, while Ravie Dubey will be seen as Lakshman. Sunny Deol is also part of the cast and will portray Hanuman.

Nitesh Tiwari is directing Ramayana, which is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations.

Ramayana Part 1 will release worldwide on November 5, 2026, across all premium cinema formats. The film will also be released in IMAX. It is planned to arrive in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.

Sony Pictures will handle global distribution outside India, while Dharma Productions will distribute the film in the Hindi-speaking market.

Following Part 1, the second instalment is scheduled for release during Diwali 2027. With the release date now confirmed and advance bookings set to open on Dussehra, audiences can look forward to the next major update about this ambitious cinematic adaptation.
