Boyapati’s Ball In Rana Daggubati’s Court Now

Deliver one flop film at the box office, and then the chances of star heroes teaming up with even the proven seniors will become tough thing these days. Take the case of ace director Boyapati Sreenu, who has delivered a blockbuster like Akhanda first, then carved out duds like Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Skanda, and went back to Balakrishna to do Akhanda 2.

Guess what, before Akanda 2 was released, the likes of Ranveer Singh and other Bollywood stars were pretty much excited to work with Boyapati Sreenu for a movie. However, after the film failed to click even to a minimum at the Bollywood box office, it looks like these Bollywood stars have now shown no interest in the director. Also, Dhurandhar turned out to be a ₹1400 crores blockbuster, and that naturally makes Ranveer cautious about his next projects.

However, strong buzz is coming out that Boyapati has now shifted his plans to Tollywood only, with Rana Daggubati most likely to take up his next project. As Rana is doing only concept-driven films in recent times, he wants to do a proper mass action movie, and wants to capitalise on the craze that’s generated by the Rana Naidu web series as well.

Even with Rana, surely Boyapati could go pan-India level, as the Baahubali villain has connections in Bollywood through whom he can pitch the film to top distributors easily.
