Rana Daggubati Seeks Time In ED Probe

Rana Daggubati, who’s facing questions in the online betting apps case, has asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to postpone his scheduled appearance. He cited film shoot commitments as the reason for not being able to attend the hearing on July 23. His request was sent to ED Joint Director Rohit Anand. Officials said they will inform him of a new date soon.

Rana isn’t the only one in the frame. The ED has named several film personalities in its investigation into the promotion of online betting platforms. Prakash Raj has been called in on July 30, Vijay Deverakonda on August 6, and Manchu Lakshmi on August 13. All of them reportedly endorsed betting apps through brand deals or online promotions.

The ED has filed ECIRs in these cases, treating them as part of a larger probe into how celebrity influence helped amplify platforms that may have operated outside legal boundaries. The investigation is focused on tracing money flow, contractual details, and possible violations of financial regulations.

With top names now being questioned, the case has caught public attention. For now, Rana waits for his rescheduled date, while the rest of the industry watches closely.
