From acting to production and digital collaborations, he has been active in many spaces over the years. However, despite scoring a solid blockbuster like Baahubali almost 10 years ago, the actor hasn’t made proper use of that, while all of his Baahubali colleagues have become the big stars they are today. Finally, he has signed his next, as per the updates.
In fact, Rana hasn’t signed a proper acting project in a long time. A few films got shelved, and fans have been waiting to see him back on screen in a solid role. Now, there is finally an update. Rana has signed a crucial role in Jai Hanuman, directed by Prasanth Varma and starring Rishab Shetty in the lead. The film was launched recently in Hampi, and the shoot is expected to begin soon under Mythri Movie Makers.
While others capitalised on the global reach of Baahubali, Rana’s acting career didn’t take off in the same way. He shifted focus to production and other ventures, but the big solo acting phase never really happened. So naturally, the question is simple. Is this the right comeback at the right time? Definitely, a mythological film like Jai Hanuman gives him a strong platform, especially with the current trend favouring such subjects. On the other hand, the role is still under wraps, and it’s not clear how big or impactful his character will be.
