On the occasion of Arnold Vosloo’s birthday, Team Ranabaali welcomed him to Indian cinema. His intense look as Sir Theodore Hector has already created excitement among movie lovers. The poster presents him as a ruthless and powerful character who plays an important role in the story.
Ranabaali stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is set for a grand worldwide release on September 11.
The story of Ranabaali is inspired by real historical events. It takes place during the Great Famine of 1876–1878, one of the darkest periods in Indian history. The famine severely affected the region of Rayalaseema in present-day Andhra Pradesh. Due to failed monsoons and harsh colonial policies, millions of people suffered from hunger and starvation.
Sir Theodore Hector appears to represent the harsh and oppressive forces of that era. His character is expected to be one of the most powerful antagonists in the film.
Meanwhile recently Ranabaali makers have confirmed that after completing its theatrical run, the film will stream on Netflix. However, an exact OTT premiere date has not been announced yet. The movie will be made available in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, making it accessible to a wide audience across regions.
