Now Its Vijay- Rashmika’s Experiment in Tollywood

Tollywood has always been known for trying something new and taking Telugu cinema in a different direction. Now, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are also trying a new experiment with their upcoming film Ranabaali. Instead of promoting the movie only through songs, posters and trailers, the team has come up with a special documentary series to reveal the history and story behind the film. This unique promotional idea is creating curiosity among Telugu audiences even before the movie’s release.

The film is set against a historical background and is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. It is based around the difficult period of the Great Madras Famine of 1876–1878.

The makers are now trying a new way to create interest among the audience. Instead of only releasing songs, posters and trailers, the team has started a special four-part documentary series called Ranabaali: Never Forget The Truth.

The first episode, titled The Famine We Forgot, was released on YouTube on September 28. The video looks at the historical events that inspired the film and also gives audiences a closer look at the making of Ranabaali.

The makers describe the famine as a forgotten part of history. The documentary talks about how food grains were taken away during the period and how ordinary people suffered because of the crisis. The team wants the audience to understand the historical background before watching the film.

The documentary series will have four episodes. After The Famine We Forgot, the second episode, The History We Forgot, will arrive on September 30. The third episode, The Men We Forgot, is scheduled for October 2. The release date for the fourth episode, The Last Load, will be announced later.

The series will also show the efforts behind the film. It will give viewers a look at the technical challenges, creative decisions and emotional journey involved in making the period drama.

In Ranabaali, Vijay Deverakonda plays a 19th-century warrior from Rayalaseema. His character is shown fighting against British colonial rule. Rashmika Mandanna plays his wife and partner in the story.

With this film, Vijay and Rashmika are attempting a different kind of Telugu cinema compared with their earlier films. The combination of historical drama, action and strong emotional elements has created curiosity among movie lovers.

Ranabaali is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026. The documentary series is expected to give audiences more information about the world and history behind the film.
