As part of the promotions of Ramayana, actors Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Rakul Preet Singh participated in a special interview with popular anchor Suma. During the conversation, the actors shared their thoughts about the epic, their characters and the importance of the story.

Suma said that people have heard the Ramayana in many different ways since childhood. She also spoke about Ravana's ten heads, which children often imagine as ten separate heads. However some interpretations suggest that they represent ten different skills or qualities.

Suma then asked Yash whether he had done any special research about Ravana and learned anything new while preparing for the character. Yash gave a funny answer to the question. "First, I learned what not to do," he said.

The actor then spoke about the different interpretations of the Ramayana across India. "The Ramayana is told in different ways in different parts of our country. Every place has its own significance. People look at the story from different perspectives. We can learn so many things from it," Yash said.

He also explained that the story can be understood from any one’s point of view, apart from Lord Rama's perspective.

"Some people look at the Ramayana from Rama's point of view, while some also think from Ravana's point of view. That is the greatness of the Ramayana," he added.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama in the film, expressed his happiness about getting the opportunity. "Getting the role of Lord Rama is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me," Ranbir said.

He also described Rama as an ideal person who showed how to be a good brother, husband, father and friend.

Ranbir also made an interesting comment about the flying vehicles mentioned in the epic. "If Elon Musk invents a flying car today, India had flying vehicles 5,000 years ago," he said, referring to the Pushpaka Vimana mentioned in the Ramayana.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The film is planned as a two-part epic, with the first part scheduled to release worldwide on November 5.
