Rashmika Lands In Another Controversy With Karnataka

Actress Rashmika Mandanna is one of the most preferred actresses in Indian cinema and her impeccable box office record is reinstating the same. The actress is a part of several historical blockbusters like Pushpa 2, Animal and most recently Chaava.

However, the actress who had been facing severe hate from Kannada cinema lovers, after the failed engagement with Rakshit Shetty is still sadly continuing to face the situation. It has now reached a point where a public representative in Karnataka has vented out at Rashmika.

“Rashmika Mandanna, who started her career with the Kannada movie Kirik Party in Karnataka, refused to attend the International Film Festival last year when we invited her. She said, 'I have my house in Hyderabad, I don’t know where Karnataka is, and I don’t have time. I can't come'. One of our legislator friends visited her house 10–12 times to invite her, but she refused and even disregarded Kannada, despite growing up in the industry here. Shouldn’t we teach them a lesson?" Congress MLA Ravi Kumar said yesterday.

While it is a personal choice for Rashmika , it must also be understood that the kind of trolling and trauma that she was put through for her to reject the proposal made by Karnataka. The same Government had nothing to say when Rashmika was being put through on social media by a section of Kannada fans, but now that she has attended fame, they all of a sudden want her to be a part of their promotional events. This does not look right, argue Rashmika’s fans.
