Dreams sometimes walk ahead of time, and Rashmika Mandanna’s words did just that.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 29 Oct 2025 3:07 PM ISTDreams sometimes walk ahead of time, and Rashmika Mandanna’s words did just that. While promoting her new film The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran, she ended up talking less about cinema and more about life. The film is backed by Dheeraj Mogili and Nene, with Allu Aravind presenting it, but what caught attention wasn’t the movie, it was Rashmika’s honest chat that made fans stop scrolling for a moment.
She spoke about how tiring the film world can be and said overworking isn’t a badge of honour. “I work a lot too, but I keep telling others not to. Our body and mind need rest,” she said. Rashmika added how she dreams of having proper 9-to-6 kind of work hours someday, time for family, workouts, sleep, and some peace. It didn’t sound like a celebrity lecture; more like a tired friend sharing what she’s learned the hard way.
Then came the line that made everyone stop and listen. With a small smile, Rashmika said, “I’m not a mother yet, but I know one day I will be. I already think about my kids, how to keep them safe, how to give them a good life.” It wasn’t said for attention, just straight from the heart. Fans loved that soft, honest side of her.
She ended by saying people should hustle in their 20s and 30s but learn balance by the time they hit 40. The clip spread fast, with fans calling her thoughts “honest and homely.” Between promoting The Girlfriend and opening up like that, Rashmika reminded everyone she’s not just a movie star, she’s a young woman figuring things out, same as anyone else.
