Rashmika’s Google Translation Gets Slammed

By: Shanaz B Syed | 13 March 2026 4:11 PM ISTYesterday, star heroine Rashmika Mandanna sent a big note, saying that legal action will be taken if her mother’s audio clip is not removed from YouTube channels and social media pages. In the wake of some news channels from Kannada land reopening the old wounds, talking about her engagement to Rakshit Shetty and the subsequent calling off, another controversy has now popped up.
In the end of the note that was shared by Rashmika the other day, there’s a big paragraph written in the Kannada language. Native Kannada users stated that Rashmika took an English text and converted it to Kannada using “Google Translate,” due to which a lot of grammatical mistakes were made, but without rectifying them by reading it once, she posted the same. Kannada folks are now slamming her for not being able to use the right Kannada language despite being a native Kannadiga. Right from the beginning, this is what their accusation is, saying that Rashmika is not honouring her motherland.
At the same time, many felt that, in fact, Rashmika’s mother’s clip is actually affecting Rakshit Shetty, but not Rashmika or her newly married husband. Anyway, it looks like the trolling of Rashmika due to her previous engagement and the current marriage is also not good on the internet, because that looks like not honouring a decision taken by an adult girl, and that’s not what this country stands for.
