Life in the film industry is often like an unfinished script, full of rumours, unseen moments, and assumptions. Rashmika Mandanna recently addressed the swirling talk about her being banned from the Kannada industry. Speaking candidly during a conversation with News Kannada, she clarified that much of what people say is based on partial knowledge, and that the reality behind the scenes remains unseen.

Rashmika spoke about her recent viewing of Kantara: Chapter 1, saying she hadn’t watched it in its first few days. “I watched it later and even texted the team. They replied with a ‘Thank you,’” she shared. She added that personal life is not something that can always be shown on camera. “People don’t know what is happening inside. What they say about our lives doesn’t matter. But if it is about our work, we take it seriously and try to improve,” she said.

When directly asked if she had been banned, Rashmika smiled and stated, “So far, I have not been banned. So, yeah…” Her words came across as a mix of calm clarity and gentle defiance. She stressed that public opinion should never control how an artist chooses to live or work. “One cannot live according to others’ opinions,” she said, adding that criticism often comes from misunderstanding rather than truth.

Rashmika is making headlines for her engagement to Vijay Deverakonda, with their wedding set for February 2026. She is also gearing up for Thamma, a romantic horror comedy with Ayushmann Khurrana, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, featuring an ensemble cast and special cameos.
